About Stephen Brush

Founder and President of International Artists Agency (IAA) based in New York City, Stephen Brush represents a wide range of clients in many music genres such as rock and roll, R&B, pop, adult contemporary, Broadway and hip-hop. Mr. Brush also represents clients in the comedy, literary, theater and motion pictures industries. He has been an agent to such national stars as Nas, Tracy Morgan, Ashanti, Laura Branigan, Rick James, Peter Murphy, Wu-Tang Clan, Jay Leno, Nelly, India.arie, J-Kwon, The Beach Boys, Paul Rodriguez, and John Pinnette among countless other notable stars. Prior to opening IAA, Mr. Brush was an agent with International Creative Management (ICM) for several years working in the areas of music and comedy. During his time at ICM, Brush worked with some of the industry's leading entertainers including Rod Stewart, Jay Leno, Rosie O’Donnell, DL Hughley, Chris Rock, The Beach Boys, Jennifer Lopez, and Nas. Mr. Brush, throughout his career has created some unique opportunities for clients under his representation including a Rick James autobiography, TV special and movie deal with Viacom, a Nas lyric book deal with Regan Books, and a Broadway musical which is currently being produced by Cedric the Entertainer and Bruce Willis.

 

 

 

Mr. Brush is an advocate of the arts and education. Mr. Brush has been involved with the arts since childhood, first in plays and musicals, then on to orchestras and jazz Ensembles. Mr. Brush graduated high school from the nationally recognized and acclaimed Interlochen Arts Academy located in Interlochen, Michigan. Mr. Brush then went on to receive his undergraduate degree from the Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford, (top ten music and performing arts college). Currently, Mr. Brush strives to give back to the artistic community by offering internship and mentor programs. Mr. Brush has worked and collaborated with the Marguerite P. Lamotte Foundation and Washington Prep High School in South Central Los Angeles.

Mr. Brush continues to strive for excellence in the arts both through his very aggressive representation of artists as well as his dedication and commitment to the arts and education. Currently, Mr. Brush continues to grow IAA by selectively choosing a handful of artists to represent each year and putting the entire company’s energy and resources behind each and every project IAA decides to pursue.
